Max Shiraishi

      Remember the end of Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube when (spoilers I guess) you fight Bowser and his head flies off and chases you around the roof of the Mansion? That was really something else! I was 4 years old when my big bro got to that point, and our dad had to come in to beat the game for us. Just watching the game be played mesmerized me, the unique possibilities implicit in an interactive medium were so much cooler than my movies and books. I didn't know it at the time, but seeing Bowser shoot ice blasts out at a mortified Luigi put something in motion that couldn't be reversed, and eventually I found out that I really wanna make video games!

     I'm currently working on my last year of a BS in Game Development at DePaul University with a minor in Creative Writing. My life's goal is to make games with wit and heart written into every aspect, from dialogue to code. I've earned my stripes working on various game and writing projects in my time at school. I've also learned much from my time in the startup setting with FanFood, gaining experience working with an all-hands-on-deck team to make a viable product.
